Canadian FM extends sympathy to Vietnam’s storm victims
VNA 02/10/2009 - Canadian Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon on Sept. 30 offered his condolences to victims of tropical storm Ketsana which killed at least 92 people and left many others missing in Vietnam’s central and Central Highlands region.
The Canadian government, on the occasion, announced an emergency aid to Southeast Asian countries which were hard hit by storm Ketsana. The death toll from the storm has risen to nearly 400 people./.
