Condolences, aid for victims of typhoon Ketsana
VNA 21/10/2009 - Thai National Assembly Chairman Chai Chidchob has sent a message to his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Phu Trong, expressing his sympathy over the loss of human life and property caused by typhoon Ketsana.
The Lao Party and government have decided to provide 1,000 cu.m of wood for the storm victims in central and Central Highlands provinces.
The Myanmar embassy in Vietnam also conveyed 50,000 USD, donated by Myanmar government, to the victims.
The Vietnamese community in Israel has donated 1,500 USD to help the storm-hit provinces overcome the consequences of typhoon Ketsana./.
