Vietnam-EU PCA talks yield new progress
VNA 07/11/2009 - Vietnam and the EU have narrowed differences in many provisions of their Partnership and Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement (PCA) at the fifth round of their PCA negotiations.
During the three-day talks, which ended on November 6 in Brussels, Belgium, the two sides reached consensus on several specific provisions of the PCA, especially those related to cooperation in specialised areas, thus laying a good foundation to maintain the tempo of bilateral negotiations.
They issued a joint press release at the end of the talks, saying both sides were pleased with new development steps in negotiations and hoped to complete the activity and sign the PCA as soon as possible.
The sixth PCA negotiation round will take place in Hanoi in the first quarter of 2010./.
