Vietnam keen to boost ties with Tanzania
He also reiterated Vietnam ’s foreign policy to develop ties with all countries and territories as well as international organisations in the principle of independence, self-control, equality and settling conflicts through negotiations.
Despite the impacts of the global economic crisis, Vietnam has maintained a GDP growth rate of 6.3 percent in the first nine months of this year, he said, adding that the country always attaches a lot of importance to policies that ensure social welfare and support poor people.
The Tanzanian Deputy Speaker praised Vietnam ’s recent socio-economic achievements and said she hoped that Tanzania will step up cooperation with Vietnam , especially in agriculture, education and health, as well as learn experiences in poverty reduction and legislative activities from the Southeast Asian country.
Later the same day, the Tanzanian delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem, who stated that Vietnam is ready to work with Tanzania in fields that the country proposes.
The Tanzanian delegation will end its week-long visit to Vietnam on November 16./.
