Cuba’s Victory at Giron celebrated in HCM City
Speaking at the event, Cuban Consul General Gabriel Perez Tarrau and the President of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association in HCM City , Hoang Thi Khanh, confirmed that Cuba ’s victory at Giron and Vietnam ’s victory on April 30, 1975 that led to southern liberation and national reunification were significant milestones in the history of both nation’s revolutionary struggles.
They reminded people that only consistency, sacrifice and courageousness can ensure independence, sovereignty and justice, they said.
One behalf of the people of Ho Chi Minh City , President Khanh expressed her wishes that the Cuban people will continue to promote their achievements, such as Giron, that they have made over more than 5 decades of national construction and defence.
She said that she hoped Cuba will be always represent peace , justice, independence, freedom and socialism in the America ’s and the world as a whole./.
