* Putting Vietnam-China agreements into reality
Việt Nam consistently attaches importance to developing the friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation with China, said Party chief Nông Đức Mạnh while warmly welcoming Chinese FM Yang Jiechi.
Mr. Mạnh hoped that both sides would successfully host the upcoming Việt Nam-China Youth Festival in Guangxi Province (China) and the 6th Theoretics Workshop between the Communist Parties of Việt Nam and China in the central seaport city of Đà nẵng.
The Vietnamese Party chief also hailed China’s support for Việt Nam as ASEAN Chair in 2010.
For his part, Chinese FM Yang Jiechi expressed his pleasure to witness the great achievements that Vietnamese people have made during the renovation process under the leadership of the Communist Party of Việt Nam.
The Chinese FM also pledged to closely work with Vietnamese partners to put into practice the agreements reached by high-ranking leaders of the two countries and organize activities to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the Việt Nam-China Friendship Year 2010.

* Creating new impetus for Vietnam-Russia strategic partnership
On the same day in Hà Nội, State President Nguyễn Minh Triết met with Russian FM Sergei Lavrov.
State President Triết affirmed that the Russian Federation is an important strategic partner and a trust and faithful friend of Việt Nam.
The visits by senior officials, including the recent one by Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh to Russia, have helped to boost the strategic partnership between the two countries, said Mr. Triết.
Russian FM Sergei Lavrov was convinced that the upcoming official visit of President Dmitry Medvedev to Việt Nam would create new impetus for the strategic partnership and comprehensive cooperation between the two sides.
The Russian guest also underlined that Russia supports ASEAN’s role in ensuring security in Asia.

* Vietnam treasures comprehensive ties with Turkey
Turkey plays an important role in bridging Asia and Europe, said Vietnamese State President Nguyễn Minh Triết during his reception to Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu who is present in Việt Nam to sign documents for Turkey’s admission to the ASEAN’s Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC).
Mr. Triết highlighted that Việt Nam wants to cement and deepen all-around ties with Turkey and hopes to witness more Turkish investors to penetrate in Việt Nam and closer cooperation in culture, education, science and technology.
Turkey appreciates the status of Việt Nam in ASEAN as the country is a rising star in Asia thanks to its socio-economic growth and political stability over the past years, said Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu.
These are major reasons for Turkey to boost comprehensive relations, negotiation and dialogues with Việt Nam at regional and global forums, he added.
The Turkish FM also believed that the bilateral ties would be a highlight among strategic issues in Asia./.
