First session of NA Standing Committee term XIII closes

(CPV - 24/08/2011) - The first session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee term XIII closed on August 23 after two days of work.

Speaking during the closing day, NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung asked authorized agencies of the NA and the NA Standing Committee to thoroughly prepare reports on the results of the first session to gain experience and increase the quality of the following sessions.

Noting the importance of the second session, which will be held during the year-end, NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung asked preparatory agencies to work closely with authorized bodies to prepare the contents of bills to be submitted, to strive to increase the quality of these bills and to aim to save working time for NA deputies.

NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung stressed that each NA agency and each NA deputy must now start to renew the operation and working method of the NA in order to achieve its greatest efficiency.

During the two day sitting, the NA Standing Committee focused on discussing the assessments on the first NA session, the preparations for the second session and the project to continue renewing and increasing the quality of NA operations.

The NA Standing Committee also discussed bills on storage, appealing, denouncement and measurement.
