Deputy Defence Minister Lieutenant General Le Huu Duc receives State Secretary for Defence Ministry of Cambodia
(VNA - 19/09/2011) - A delegation of the Cambodian Royal Army headed by General Meoung Samphan, State Secretary for the Defence Ministry, is on a working visit to Viet Nam from Sept. 18-24.
On Sept. 19, Deputy Defence Minister Lieutenant General Le Huu Duc received the delegation, expressing wish that the visit would contribute to boosting the traditional friendship, solidarity and mutual understanding between the armies and people of the two countries.
General Meoung Samphan expressed his pleasure at witnessing achievements of Viet Nam in national development.
The two sides informed each other about the socio-economy, politics, national defence and security situation in their respective countries and agreed to further boost exchanges of delegations and cooperation in training, logistics and finance.
During the visit, General Meoung Samphan and his entourage are scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to Vietnamese Defence Minister General Phung Quang Thanh and visit the Defence Academy, the Commander of the Military Zone 7 and some units of the Viet Nam People’s Army./.
