Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai welcomes Singaporean Ambassador
Singaporean investors showed their interests in cooperating in addressing congestion in big cities like Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, and Hai Phong; and in other projects on power and high-tech telecommunication.
Welcoming the Singaporean business delegation to Viet Nam, Deputy PM Hai said Viet Nam is calling for investment in the above fields.
The Deputy PM reiterated the Vietnamese Government’s commitment to creating favorable conditions for Singapore-funded projects to be effectively implemented.
By the end of 2010, Singapore’s FDI inflow reached US $18 billion with 851 projects. Singapore still remains one of the biggest investors in Viet Nam.
On the same day, Deputy PM Hai hosted a reception for representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency to exchange ways to deploy the public private partnership model in Viet Nam.
