German Chancellor to tour Viet Nam next week
(VGP - 06/10/2011) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel will pay an official visit to Viet Nam from October 11-12, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the invitation of Vietnamese PM Nguyen Tan Dung
The news was announced today in Ha Noi at the regular press briefing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit aims to strengthen the comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Germany in all areas,, especially in politics, external relations, economics, trade, investment, development cooperation, education and training.
The two sides will exchange views on regional and global issues of common concern.
The German Chancellor is expected to hold bilateral talks with PM Nguyen Tan Dung, meet with Vietnamese leaders, and visit some economic and cultural establishments in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City./.
