Quan, who is also a
member of the Party Central Committee, informed his host of cooperative
results between the two Parties’ Commissions for External Relations as
well as the outcomes of talks between the two delegations.
He
congratulated the great achievements made by the Lao Party, State and
people in the first years of implementing the Resolution of the ninth
National Party Congress.
Vietnam will consistently do its
utmost to work with the Lao side to maintain and uphold the
Vietnam-Laos special solidarity and friendship and transfer it to future
generations for the prosperity of each country, and for peace,
stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world at
large, the Vietnamese official affirmed.
The Lao leader
welcomed the working visit by the Vietnamese delegation to attend the
traditional friendship exchange between the two External Relations
Commissions.
He spoke highly of the talks between the two
delegations, applauded their contributions to consolidating and
strengthening the traditional friendship, special solidarity and
comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos .
He expressed his wish that the two Parties’ external relations
agencies would continue to coordinate, increase the sharing of
information and experience, cooperate and help each other to implement
the foreign policy of each Party and cooperate in implementing
activities within the framework of the “Vietnam-Laos, Laos-Vietnam
Solidarity Friendship Year 2012”.
Party General Secretary and
President Choummaly Sayasone expressed his belief that under the
leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people
would successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th National Party
Congress.
The Lao Party, State and people will do their
best to maintain and foster the evergreen and everlasting traditional
friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between
Vietnam and Laos .
Earlier on the day, Quan held talks
with his Lao counterpart, Thoonglun Sisulith, who is also Politburo
member, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
The
two sides informed each other of the situation of their respective Party
and country in the recent past, exchanged views on regional and
international issues of mutual concern and discussed specific measures
to implement agreements signed between high-ranking leaders of the two
Parties and countries, contributing to heightening and deepening the
Vietnam-Laos special relations.
As part of his visit, Quan will
attend the sixth traditional friendship exchange between the two
Parties’ Commissions for External Relations, and with Xieng Khouang
province./.
