President Truong Tan Sang holds talks with Emir of State of Qatar Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani
(VNA - 16/01/2012) - Viet Nam attaches importance to the development of friendship and cooperation with Qatar, said President Truong Tan Sang.
President Sang made the statement at his talks with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, in Ha Noi on Jan. 16.
Sang described the Qatari Emir’s visit as a vivid symbol of the fine development of cooperative relations between the two countries.
Qatari Emir Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani expressed his admiration at the achievements recorded by the Vietnamese people in national construction and development.
He wished Viet Nam greater achievements in socio-economic development towards the building of a prosperous Vietnam with a greater role and position on the international arena.
The two leaders underlined their determination to beef up the two countries’ relationship, especially in trade, investment, agriculture, labour, tourism, education and training.
They exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern and expressed the hope to boost information exchange for peace, stability, cooperation and development.
On this occasion, the Qatar Emir invited President Sang to visit Qatar and the latter accepted the invitation with pleasure./.
