Viet Nam treasures cooperative ties with Chile

(VGP - 28/02/2012) - National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung affirmed that Viet Nam is always ready to cooperate with Chile in agriculture, aquaculture, environmental protection and climate change response at his talks with the visiting Chilean Senate President, Guido Girardi Lavin in Ha Noi on Feb. 28.

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said Viet Nam attaches importance to developing cooperative ties with Chile and expanding relations with other Latin countries. Viet Nam is ready to act as a bridge for Chile to boost its cooperation with other Southeast Asian nations.

Mr. Lavin affirmed that Chile treasures and prioritizes relations with Viet Nam, noting that sharing  similarities can help both countries boost win-win cooperation.

He said Chile wants to cooperate with Viet Nam in applying advanced technologies and techniques in mining, while protecting the environment, in developing farm product processing technologies, exporting fruits and food technologies and breeding salmon.

The Chilean Senate President proposed that the two sides should actively design and sign various cooperation programs and beef up their bilateral relations.
