The host leaders expressed his hope that, in his term, Mr. Franz Jessen will closely work with Vietnamese partners to boost up the multifaceted cooperation between Viet Nam and the EU, especially in politics, economy, trade, investment and tourism. He suggested that the two sides should speed up negotiations for an FTA.
Confirming that Viet Nam always backs the EU’s efforts to upgrade its relations with ASEAN, Mr. Dung expected the Union to support the bloc’s 6-point declaration on East Sea.
Ambassador Franz Jessen pledged to spare no effort to enhance the EU-Viet Nam cooperation. He took the occasion to ask for more favors from the Vietnamese Government to EU investors doing business in Viet Nam.
