Vietnamese and Lao Deputy PMs hold talks
(VGP – 15/10/2012) - Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc on October 14 held talks with Lao counterpart Somsavat Lengsavad who is on a working visit to Viet Nam.
At the talks, the two Deputy PMs, co-chairs of the Inter-governmental Committee of Viet Nam and Laos, discussed preparations on the upcoming session of the committee held in Viet Nam at the end of this year.
They also exchanged views to boost up the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
They agreed to continue activities to celebrate the Viet Nam-Laos Friendship and Solidarity Year 2012, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Laos (September 5) and the 35th anniversary of the signing of the Viet Nam–Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty (July 18).
