Leaders congratulates Cuba on National Day
(VGP – 01/01/2013) - General Party Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Truong Tan Sang and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Monday extended their congratulations to the Cuban President of the Council of State cum President of the Council of Ministers, Raul Castro Ruz, on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of National Day of Cuba.

The same day, Chairman of National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung cabled a congratulatory message to his Cuban counterpart Ricardo Alarcon de Kesada.
 
FM Pham Binh Minh also sent his felicitations to Cuban FM Bruno Rodriguez Parilla.

Viet Nam and Cuba established diplomatic relations on December 2, 1960.

Cuba has always been in the vanguard of the popular movements that supported Viet Nam's struggle for independence and freedom as well as for national building.
