Gov’t praises WB’s policy development assistance
(VGP – 16/01/2013) - Viet Nam appreciates effective policy consultations and financial support from the World Bank (WB), stressed Deputy PM Vu Van Ninh during his reception for Country Director Victoria Kwakwa on Wednesday.

The two sides took the occasion to talk about the financial sector reform and restructuring of State-owned enterprises in Viet Nam.
Ms. Victoria Kwakwa welcomed the Vietnamese Government’s determination to speed up reform in the financial sector and SOEs in 2013.
She informed Deputy PM Ninh about the positive outcomes of WB-funded credit program for poverty reduction worth US$150 million.
The international institution would officially pass a loan of US$250 million for another program to support economic management and sharpen competitiveness in the next three months, the WB Country Director announced./.
