Viet Nam, Thailand boost legislative cooperation

(Vietnamplus - 20/06/2013) - Viet Nam and Thailand should further increase exchanges and contacts between their legislative bodies’ senior officials and parliamentarian groups, thus strengthening mutual understanding and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries and peoples.

National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan made the suggestion while receiving Secretary General of the Senate of Thailand Norarut Pimsen in Ha Noi on June 20.

In the time to come, the two sides need to share legislative experience, thus improving the professional knowledge of their staff, she added.

For her part, Norarut Pimsen said her visit is to strengthen cooperation and experience exchanges between the Vietnamese NA Office and the Thai Senate Secretariat.

She said that during her delegation’s working session with the Vietnamese NA Office, the two sides discussed measures to promote their friendship and cooperation, thus contributing to fostering the relations between the two legislatures and the two countries in general.

She expressed her wish that the Vietnamese NA will continue supporting experience exchange activities between the two agencies.
