The Vietnamese delegation to the three-day event, which began in Dalian city, Liaoning province, China on July 27, was led by head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Popularisation and Education Dinh The Huynh. The Chinese delegation was led by head of the CPC Central Committee’s Propaganda Department Liu Qibao.

In his opening remarks, Huynh, who is also Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, described the building of a pure and strong Party as a key task of special significance in implementing the CPV’s guidelines.

Holding profound practical and theoretical meanings, the process is decisive to the national revolutionary cause, he said. However, it is also a difficult and complicated issue, he added.

Huynh’s report affirmed that the CPV and late President Ho Chi Minh always attach es importance to building a pure and strong Party.

The Vietnamese Party official briefed the seminar on Viet Nam’s performance in Party building as well as the country’s orientations, goals and tasks for the work during the new period.

In his report, Liu Qibao said the CPC has give n importance to maintaining forward-looking and pure characteristics of the Party.

Following the 18th National Party Congress, China’s new leadership has paid special attention to enforcing political disciplines in the Party, building clean-fingered manners among Party officials and implementing mass policies.

The CPC has also accelerated the fight against corruption, taking on combination of education and institutional building with inspection and treatment, he said.

Participants at the event shared their viewpoints on various related topics in a straightforward and open environment.

At the closing ceremony, the two sides agreed that the workshop’s outcomes are important to each country’s Party building work, both practically and theoretically.
