Energy cooperation important to VN-Russia ties
He said the energy cooperation not only brings in economic benefits but also reflects the fine friendship and cooperation between the two countries and their peoples.
The Government leader expressed his delight at the positive outcomes of cooperation between the Viet Nam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) and Gazprom Neft, affirming that the Vietnamese Government always backs and create conditions for their cooperation activities.
He said he hopes that Gazprom Neft will continue expanding cooperation with PetroVietnam not only in oil and gas exploration and exploitation but also in oil refining and crude oil supply.
For his part, Dyukov voiced his hope that the Vietnamese Government and relevant agencies will continue facilitating Gazprom Neft’s long-term operations in Viet Nam.
Gazprom Neft, an affiliate of Gazprom Group, is one of the leading oil production companies in Russia. Its facilities have the rights to subsoil use at 75 licensed sites in 11 regions throughout Russia, with the productivity of nearly 60 million tonnes in 2012. The company also holds five oil refineries with a combined capacity of 40 million tonnes last year.
PetroVietnam and Gazprom Net signed a cooperation agreement in oil and gas exploitation and oil refining in May during PM Dung’s official visit to Russia.
