Deputy PM Nhan said he was glad to witness the development of comprehensive ties between Viet Nam and Thailand, especially following the official visit of Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to Thailand in June 2013 in which the two sides set up strategic partnership.

Mr. Nhan underscored that Viet Nam and Thailand share numerous similarities in culture, human and maritime resources which serve for further development in the bilateral ties and that of ASEAN member states.

He took the occasion to seek the Thai Government’s support to Vietnamese residing there and said he believed that the relations between the two parties would continue to develop in the coming time.

For his part, Mr.  Somchai Wongsavat promised to work with Viet Nam to put the strategic partnership into reality in favor of respective interests, in the interest of peace, cooperation and development and the building of the ASEAN Community./.
