DPM Ninh starts tour to Singapore

(VGP – 05/11/2013) - Deputy PM Vu Van Ninh on November 5 began a working visit to Singapore.
 

 

 

The visit is part of the Singapore Cooperation Program jointly initiated by Singaporean FM K.Shanmugam and former President S.R Nathan in November 2012.
 
Under the program, foreign senior leaders and experts are invited to visit Singapore to exchange views, experience and innovations on current and future emerging challenges as a mean to consolidate relations between their countries and Singapore.

Deputy PM Ninh is one of the first high-ranking guest leaders of the program.

During the working visit, Mr. Ninh will meet with Singaporean PM Lee Hsien Loong; Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs Grace Fu and Second Minister for the Home Affairs and Second Minister for Trade and Industry S. Iswaran and work with the Ministry of Finance.

The Deputy PM also plans to have a meeting with executives of Temasek Holdings, an investment company, the Monetary Authority of Singapore and Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore.  

The visit coincides with the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and Singapore (1973-2013) and aims to boost bilateral linkages in finance, budget, monetary, banking and macro-economic management./.
