VN, Bolivia sign trade and investment deal

(VGP – 06/12/2013) - Viet Nam and Bolivia on Friday signed a framework agreement on trade and investment, paving the way for the two countries to accelerate cooperation in this field.

The agreement was inked during Deputy PM Vu Van Ninh‘s official visit to Bolivia from December 5-7.
 
The Vietnamese Deputy PM praised Bolivia’s socio-economic achievements in recent years while he met with Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca.

Deputy PM Ninh said his visit aims to tighten the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

He urged the two sides to boost exchanges of high-ranking delegations, conduct regular political consultations between the two Foreign Ministries, coordinate closely at international forums, and work towards the conclusion of agreements to create the legal framework for long-term cooperation.

Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca said Bolivia expects to share development experience with Viet Nam and strengthen cooperation in agriculture, energy, culture and science and technology.

On the same day, Deputy PM Ninh met with representatives of Bolivian businesses./.
