PM receives ADB and Egyptian guests

(VGP – 15/01/2014) - PM Nguyen Tan Dung on Wednesday in Ha Noi separately received ADB President Takehiko Nakao and Egyptian Ambassador Mohamed Reda Kamel El-Taify.

PM Dung said the Government highly appreciated the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) financial support while receiving ADB President Takehiko Nakao.

PM Dung also said that he was pleasant to witness the fruitful ties between Viet Nam and the ADB, especially the bank’s support in boosting the country’s socio-economic development.

Viet Nam, said the host leader pledges to make full use of ADB loans by allocating counterpart capital and speeding up site clearance work to ensure the efficient disbursement of the funds.

The Government leader also hoped that the ADB President would pay more attention to the partnership between the two sides and continue to offer vital assistances to the country’s prioritized areas.

For his part, President Takehiko Nakao spoke highly of the nation’s poverty reduction work and the effectiveness of macro-economic policies of curbing inflation and maintaining growth.

The guest leader proposed Viet Nam speed up the disbursement of the ADB funds.

ADB stands ready to assist Viet Nam in upgrading infrastructure of the fields of transport, energy, and health and in reforming SOEs.

The same day, PM Nguyen Tan Dung lauded Egyptian Ambassador Mohamed Reda Kamel El-Taify for his contributions in strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries especially in economics and trade.

PM Dung thanked the Egyptian Government for recognizing the market economy of Viet Nam.

The host leader hoped that the Ambassador would serve for the bilateral ties.

Ambassador Mohamed Reda Kamel El-Taify underlined that Egypt is interested in enhancing relations with Viet Nam, particularly in the domains of economics and trade./.
