PM Dung welcomes new Sudanese diplomat

VGP – Viet Nam attaches importance to accelerating ties with Sudan, affirmed PM Nguyen Tan Dung during his reception for newly accredited Ambassador Sayed Eltayeb Ahmad in Ha Noi on Tuesday.

The Government chief expressed his belief that the Sudanese diplomat would spare no effort to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

He went on to say that the Government of Viet Nam would create favorable conditions for Mr. Sayed Eltayeb Ahmad to fulfill his office term in Viet Nam.

For his part, Mr. Sayed Eltayeb Ahmad said he was impressed with Viet Nam’s achievements in socio-economic development.

Next month, the two countries will convene the first meeting of the the Viet Nam-Sudan joint committee to discuss ways to beef up trade, economic and investment cooperation.

Earlier on February 18, Sudanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal-Eddin Ismail Saeed paid a three-day visit to Viet Nam.

During his stay, the Sudanese official paid a courtesy call to Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh and held political consultations with Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Phuong Nga.

He also had working sessions with the ministries of Industry and Trade and of Agriculture and Rural Development./.
