VN, Netherlands beef up cooperation

PM Dung made the point March 25 in The Hague while meeting with Dutch Queen Maxima, who is also a prestigious United Nations expert in inclusive finance on the sidelines of the third Nuclear Security Summit (NSS).
Viet Nam always attaches importance to fostering friendship and cooperation with the Netherlands, said the guest leader.
Viet Nam and the Netherlands have cooperated in five priority areas including climate change adaptation and water management, agriculture, sea-based economy, oil and gas, and logistics services.
The strategic partnership on climate change adaptation and water management has been promoted effectively, bringing practical benefits to both sides.
PM Dung proposed Queen Maxima attach attention to prioritizing cooperation programs for Viet Nam in the fields of enhancing management for small credit projects, ensuring food security and education.
Viet Nam, said the PM is calling on bilateral and multilateral donors and non-governmental organizations to finance small-scale credit projects in favor of women and poor people in mountainous and rural areas.
For her part, the Queen also proposed measures to boost bilateral cooperation, especially in inclusive finance.
The host leader showed her deep impressions on the land and people of Viet Nam during her visit to Viet Nam in March 2011./.
