China Association pledges to boost friendship with Viet Nam

(Vietnamplus - 24/12/2013) - People-to-people diplomacy between Viet Nam and China over the last time has played an increasing role in making practical contributions to the two sides’ comprehensive strategic partnership, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has said.

He maed the statement at his December 24 reception in Hanoi for visiting China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) led by its chairman Li Zhaoxing.

Deputy PM Minh affirmed the friendship between Viet Nam and China has seen positive development, citing the two sides’ successes in organising the fifth People’s Forum in Viet Nam’s Ninh Binh province and the second Youth Festival in China’s Nanning city in November.

For his part, chairman Li said in the time to come, the association will further contribution to international interaction in general and cementing the friendship between the two countries in particular.-
