Viet Nam extends condolences to RoK over Sewol ferry incident

VGP – Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh on Friday came to the Republic of Korea (RoK) Embassy in Ha Noi to extend his condolences to the bereaved of the victims on Sewol ferry that capsized and sank on April 16.

Deputy PM, PM Minh expressed his belief that the Korean Government, people and families of the victims would soon surmount hardship, overcome the consequences and stabilize their life.

On behalf of his country, Ambassador Jun Dae Ju thanked Viet Nam for its sincere sentiment to the RoK and the families of the victims.

Deputy PM, FM Minh said that over the past time, many Vietnamese people showed their patriotism at China’s recent act of deploying a drilling rig in Viet Nam’s waters.

However, some made corrupt use of the situation to cause social disorder and damage production facilitates owned by Vietnamese and foreign investors, including those from the RoK.

Deputy PM, PM Minh stressed that the Vietnamese Government has taken resolute measures to prevent and strictly punish lawbreakers.

Viet Nam has tried its best to build a peaceful and stable environment, create favorable conditions and ensure safety for foreign nationals and businesses, he affirmed./.
