National Day celebrated overseas
During the event, Ba recalled Vietnam’s hard struggle for national independence and the country’s achievements during the process of regional and international integration.
The Vietnamese Ambassador to Qatar, Phung The Long, met with local authorities and Vietnamese guest workers in the country during a get-together on August 29.
He affirmed the Party and the State’s consistent foreign policy of willingness and determination to expand friendship and cooperation with all countries, including Qatar.
The celebration held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria on August 30 was attended by representatives from a number of Algerian ministries, international organisations, the Algeria-Vietnam Friendship Association and the Vietnamese community.
Ambassador Vu Van Du thanked the Algerian Government and people for their assistance to Vietnam during the past struggle against foreign aggressors and the current national construction and defence.
The diplomat spoke highly of the traditional cooperation and friendship between the two countries and said he hoped that the two governments and peoples would move to lift up bilateral ties.
Honourary President of the Algeria-Vietnam Friendship Association Hassani Abdelkarim lauded the Vietnamese people’s revolutionary cause under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh during the past struggle for independence, as well as the achievements they have made during the current renewal process.
During a ceremony held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium, the embassy staff and Vietnamese people residing in Belgium, Luxembourg, France and the Netherlands donated a combined 1,450 EUR to flood victims in Vietnam.
