(MOFA) - On Wednesday morning 15 March 2017, Vietnamese Embassy officials in Malaysia made a consular visit to Doan Thi Huong, during which Huong said she was in good health and reconfirmed that she had been tricked into taking part in the murder case of the Korean national, Mr. Kim Chol.
 
On Wednesday afternoon 15 March 2017, representatives of the Consular Department of  the Foreign Ministry of Vietnam had a meeting with Huong’s family in Nam Dinh Province,  where they gave the family updated information relating to Huong’s situation.
 
At the request by Doan Thi Huong and her family, the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia and the Vietnam Bar Association will continue their on-going efforts to work with the relevant authorities and the Malaysian Bar Association to arrange for legal assistance measures to ensure Huong’s legitimate rights be protected in line with Malaysian laws and international practice./.
