1. Zing: What is Viet Nam's response to the joint UN note of UK - France - Germany expressing their stance on the East Sea issue?
Viet Nam’s stance on the East Sea issues is consistent and has been expressed on many occasions. Viet Nam believes that countries share common aspirations and goals in maintaining and promoting peace, stability, cooperation and development in the East Sea. To achieve this goal, it is essential for all related parties to respect legal order at sea and to fully, responsibly and willingly implement the 1982 United Nation Convention on the Law of the Sea.
Viet Nam welcomes other countries’ position on the East Sea issues in accordance with international laws and shares views, as mentioned in the recent Chairman Statement of the 36th ASEAN Summit and the Joint Communique of the 53rd ASEAN Foregin Ministers’ Meeting, that the 1982 UNCLOS is the legal framework governing all activities at sea and ocean.
In that spirit, Viet Nam, together with ASEAN countries, hopes that all countries including ASEAN’s partners, will contribute to maintaining peace, stability, cooperation in the East Sea and resolving disputes through dialogue and other peaceful means in line with international laws for the common interest and aspirations of the regional countries and international community. Once again, Viet Nam has always made a positive and responsible contribution to this process.
2. Zing: Please confirm if the new Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide may visit Vietnam in this October?
The Viet Nam - Japan extensive strategic partnership is developing very positively. The two sides maintain contact exchanges at different levels and under different forms. In that spirit, Viet Nam welcomes Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide to visit Viet Nam at a time suitable to both sides.
3. Zing: What is Viet Nam's comment on the fact that the US may conduct investigation on Viet Nam’s monetary policies this week, according to Bloomberg News?
Viet Nam’s relevant authourities are discussing with the US side to clarify information.
4. TG&VN: more information about the fact that Singapore unilaterally lifted border restrictions for Vietnamese visitors?
According to Viet Nam’s Embassy in Singapore, on 30 September 2020, Singapore announced that border restrictions to visitors from Vietnam will be lifted from the 8th of October, 2020.
The Singaporean authorities said that visitors from Viet Nam entering Singapore from the 8 October 2020 will have to submit an online application for entry approval from at least 7 to 30 days before the expected entry date. They also are required to undergo the Covid-19 test upon arrival and install the Covid-19 tracing application in their mobile devices. If the test result is negative, visitors are free to travel within Singapore. Otherwise, visitors have to be treated in Singapore and bare all the medical expenses.
On the same day, The Singapore Embassy in Hanoi has notified the Department of Consular, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs about this policy, and the two sides agreed to enhance collaboration to facilitate the travel of Vietnamese and Singaporean citizens in accordance with situations of each countries.
5. Kinh te Do thi: The US Special Presidential Envoy Billingslea arrived in Ha Noi yesterday. Please verify this information and provide details about the visit?
The Viet Nam-US Comprehensive Partnership continues to develop positively. The two sides maintain meetings and contacts at different levels to promote the bilateral relations, as well as to discuss regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The visit to Hanoi of the US Special Presidential Envoy for Arms Control Marshall Billingslea is aimed at discussing bilateral cooperations, as well as other regional and international issues of mutual concern. The visit was especially taken on the occassion of the 25th Anniversary of Viet Nam-US Bilateral Relations.
6. Soha: The Philippino Foreign Secretary Locsin just said that the Philippines would try to complete the second reading of the COC draft before transferring the role of ASEAN-China coordinator to Myanmar. Can you give more information about the COC negotiation process?
The resumption of the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea (COC) negotiation after the interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic is the priority of the ASEAN countries and China. Viet Nam wishes to join with other related countries to resume the COC negotiation, and soon achieving a comprehensive, effective and efficient COC in accordance with international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Laws of the Sea.
7. Sputnik: What is Viet Nam’s view on the escalating tension in Karabakh?
Viet Nam is concerned at the information of the conflict. Viet Nam supports all the mediation efforts of the Minks OSCE and urges all parties to refrain from violence, put an end to the escalating tenison for the interests of the two countries and their people, and resolve conflicts by peaceful meanings in accordance with international law, contributing to peace and stability in the region and the world.
8. Tuoi tre news: According to some overseas Vietnamese citizen Facebook or website pages, the ROK Ministry of Employment and Labor will restrict number of Vietnamese labours coming to ROK, could you clarify this information?
