No Central Highland ethnic minority people illegally cross the border to Cambodia to seek asylum

OF THE VIETNAMESE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS ON 8th APRIL 2004


AP: Please provide Vietnam’s reaction to reports that last month 40 ethnic minority people from the Central Highlands came to the UNHCR in Phnom Penh to seek asylum.

Answer:

We have no information indicating that Central Highland ethnic minority people have illegally crossed the border to Cambodia to seek asylum.
