AP: Will Vietnam send any invitation to French side to attend their May 7th ceremony of the 50th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory? If yes, will representatives from the French embassy in Hanoi or from the Government in Paris be attending it?
Answer:
The Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government and the Fatherland Front of Vietnam will co-organize a solemn ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory on May 5th 2004 in Hanoi. Among the invitees are representatives from Governments of those countries which assisted Vietnam in the national liberation wars, the Diplomatic corps, including representatives from the French Embassy, international organizations in Hanoi and a number of foreigners who had enthusiastically supported Vietnam during its struggle for national liberation.
