Deputy Foreign Minister of the Vatican visit to Vietnam

AP and AFP: Please provide the purpose, program and agenda of the
Vatican Deputy Foreign Minister’s visit to Vietnam?


Answer:

As agreed by
Vietnam and the Vatican, Deputy Foreign Minister Pietro Parolin of the Vatican is on a visit to Vietnam from April 27 to May 2, 2004.


During the visit, the two sides will exchange views on issues concerning Vietnam Catholic Church and other issues of mutual concern with a view to enhancing mutual understanding between
Vietnam and the Vatican.


During its stay, the delegation will hold working sessions with
Vietnam Bishop Council, the Government Committee on Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and visit some localities in DongNai,Daklak, XuanLoc Bishopric and Buon MaThuot Bishopric.
