Question: Could you give us Vietnam’s comment on the news that Mr. Somchai Wongsawat has been elected as Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand?

Vietnam wishes to congratulate Mr. Somchai Wongsawat on his election as the new Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand.
It is Vietnam’s hope that stability will soon be restored in Thailand for national development. It is also Vietnam’s belief that the fine friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand will be further strengthened and developed in the interest of the two countries, making positive contribution to peace, friendship, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
