Question: Could you please give us Vietnam’s reaction to the news that Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva has been elected by Thai Parliament as Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand?

Answer:
Vietnam wishes to congratulate HE. Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva on His Excelellency’s election as the new Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand.

We hope that the new Government of Thailand will soon stabilize the situation and concentrate on national development. Vietnam expect to continue cooperation with the Government of Thailand to strengthen and further develop the fine friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand in the interest of the two peoples, for the sake of peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
