Question: Please provide Viet Nam’s comment on the trial and verdict on Le Quoc Quan?
Answer:
“In Viet Nam, like in the other law-governed states, law breaking acts shall be handled by the laws.
Quan was tried in a public and transparent procedure, conforming to the Vietnam law and international norms and practices. The verdict was justly pronounced to the right offender. Viet Nam and foreign press were allowed to attend the court and report on the proceedings.
We reject the wrongful statements on this trial.”
