In response to question from the media regarding Viet Nam’s position on the December 29 and 30 bombings in Volgograd, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Luong Thanh Nghi on December 30, 2013 said:

“Viet Nam strongly condemns the terrorist acts that killed and injured many people in Volgograd on December 29 and 30. Our heartfelt sympathies and condolences go to families of the victims, the Government and people of Russia. Those who stand behind these acts of terror must be severely punished.”
