Remarks of MOFA Spokesperson Le Hai Binh on the US House of Representatives’ approval of Resolution H.Res 714
On 5th December 2014, in response to reporters’ questions on Viet Nam’s reaction to the US House of Representatives’ approval of Resolution H.Res 714 concerning the East Sea, MOFA Spokesperson Le Hai Binh stated,
“Vietnam welcomes the US House of Representatives’ first-ever passage of a resolution supportive of efforts for peaceful settlement of disputes in the East Sea on the basis of international law, and of the development of a code of conduct in the East Sea.
We support all positive efforts that effectively contribute to maintain peace, stability, security and safety of navigation and aviation in the region.”
