Remarks by MOFA Spokesperson Le Hai Binh on the death of former Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew
(MOFA) - "We are deeply saddened to learn about the death of former Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew, the founding father of Singapore, an outstanding thinker and strategist, who led the country to its current prosperity. He, together with Vietnamese leaders, has laid a solid foundation for the Viet Nam – Singapore relations.
We would like to extend to his family, the Singaporean Government and people our heartfelt condolences. Despite this great loss, we believe that Singapore will move on to achieve further success in all aspects. We also trust that bilateral ties between Viet Nam and Singapore will continue to grow for the interest of the two peoples, peace, stability and cooperation in the region and the world.”
