In response to the new developments in Syria,  Foreign Ministry’s  Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said on April 15:

“Vietnam is concerned about the current situation in Syria and protests the use of force which threatens life of innocent civilians and peace and stability in the region. We hold that all disputes and differences should be settled by peaceful means on the basis of international law, especially the United Nations Charter and of the principle of respecting independence and sovereignty of countries. The United Nations Chemical Weapons Convention must be fully observed.”
