Remarks by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam Le Thi Thu Hang regarding the repatriation plans of Vietnamese citizens overseas amidst the scene that there are new positive cases in the country
(MOFA) - On 6 August 2020, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responding to a reporter’s question regarding the repatriation plans of Vietnamese citizens overseas amidst the scene that there are new positive cases in the country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang stated:
To implement the direction of the Prime Minister, with the highest efforts of relevant domestic authorities and Vietnamese diplomatic missions overseas, based on the wishes of citizens and the domestic quarantine capacity, we have organized more than 80 flights to bring home over 21.000 citizens from 50 countries and territories, to ensure safety on the prevention measures of the disease.
In the coming time, the repatriation of citizens with special difficult circumstances shall be aranged based on the wishes of the citizens, in line with the situation and the quarantine capacity in the country.
