(MOFA) - At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regular press conference on August 20, responding to a  reporter’s question regarding Vietnamese and US competent authorities partner on the investigation and arrest of some Vietnamese individuals for commercial fraud, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang stated:

According to Viet Nam’s Ministry of Public Security and the US side, Ha Noi city’s Public Security and other departments of the Ministry of Public Security have prosecuted and detained four Vietnamese people on property scam. Viet Nam’s competent authorities are currently expanding investigation and shall process the case in line with the regulations of the Vietnamese laws. Vietnamese Government is determined to prevent and strictly tackle with commerce fraud acts. Viet Nam highly appreciates the cooperation of the US’s competent authorities in this case.
