(MOFA) - At the MOFA regular press conference on 15th of October, 2020, responding to media’s request of comment on the fact that Viet Nam was the first country that Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide visit after his inauguration, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokeperson Le Thi Thu Hang said:

Viet Nam welcomes Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide to visit Viet Nam as his first overseas destination after taking office. This clearly demonstrates the strong and substantial development of the extensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Japan in several aspects. 

We strongly believe that the visit will be a great success, actively contributing to fostering the Viet Nam – Japan extensive strategic partnership and to restoring the post-covid 19 socio-economics developments of the two countries.
