Press release on Vietnamese community in Vanuatu after cyclone Pam
(MOFA) - Upon knowing that cyclone Pam was hitting Vanuatu, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs instructed the Viet Nam Embassy in Australia to contact with the Vietnamese community in Vanuatu to take measures in advance and ask local authorities for their assistance in case of emergency.
On 15 March 2015, the Viet Nam Embassy in Australia annouced no Vietnamese killed in the cyclone and the properties damage was not large.
The Embassy is following closely the situation and is prepared to provide assistance if needed.
