AWCH explores and experiences the culture of Dong Ho painting

Mrs. Tran Thi Bich Van, wife of Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung, Chairwoman of the AWCH Group lead the Vietnamese delegation, along with wives of several other Deputy Foreign Ministers and head officials of the MOFA units.
On the ASEAN side, there were female ambassadors from ASEAN countries and members of the AWCH Executive Committee.
The AWCH group visited Dong Ho painting workshop of Artisan Nguyen Dang Che in Dong Ho village, Song Ho commune, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province.
At the spacious, airy tile-roofed house, with traditional Vietnamese architecture, the AWCH Group focused on listening to Artisan Nguyen Dang Che and his son introduce the traditional history of Dong Ho painting, along with processes of making do paper and color materials for the paintings...
The group toured every stage, from preparing materials to completing a complete Dong Ho folk painting. After that, the Group visited Dong Ho Painting Gallery, located in the campus of Dong Ho Painting Workshop of Artisan Nguyen Dang Che.
Under the guidance of the artisans, each member of the AWCH Group was able to manually print two paintings - the "Mouse Wedding" and "Catching Coconuts".
