During the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Hoang Giang welcomed the Matsushita Institute of Government and Management delegation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He expressed his pleasure at the remarkable development between Vietnam and Japan, especially since the official upgrade of their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and globally in November 2023.
Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Hoang Giang highly appreciated the Matsushita Institute of Government and Management as a prestigious and top-quality educational institution in Japan, having trained many outstanding individuals. He also shared Vietnam's priority policy in developing high-quality human resources to meet the demands of rapid and sustainable development in the future.
To contribute to the comprehensive development of the Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including educational cooperation between the two countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Hoang Giang suggested that the leadership of the Matsushita Institute support Vietnam in training high-quality human resources through various flexible forms. These include sending the institute's lecturers to teach in Vietnam, facilitating Vietnamese officials, students, and ministry staff to study and research at the institute, expanding the training of young Vietnamese entrepreneurs to become excellent business leaders based on Japanese business models and experiences, promoting exchanges and cooperation with Vietnamese research and training institutions, and organizing annual thematic seminars and student exchanges.
Expressing that the leadership and students of the institute are very interested in Vietnam, Director Ozeki Kenji was impressed by Vietnam's outstanding achievements in various fields, especially in economics and foreign affairs. He believes that many of the institute's students will become bridges of friendship between Vietnam and Japan in the future. Acknowledging Deputy Minister Dang Hoang Giang's proposals, Mr. Ozeki affirmed that he would actively promote understanding and exchange relations with Vietnam, particularly in education and high-quality human resource training.
