(VNA) – The 48th meeting of the Vietnam–Laos Inter-Governmental Committee is of special significance as it takes place immediately after the high-level meeting between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP), and at a time when the two countries are reviewing the implementation of cooperation agreements for 2021–2025 period and discuss orientations for a new period of more intensive and strategic collaboration, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong.

The year 2025 marks a significant milestone in the relationship between Vietnam and the European Union (EU) as the two sides celebrate 35 years of diplomatic relations (28/11/1990 - 28/11/2025).
